Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop P&ID along with process engg.
Preparation of Instrument specifications for all field instruments as per P&ID meeting contract, and process requirements.
Preparation of detailed specifications for Control panel / PLC / DCS-based control/shutdown system, analyzers as per P&ID meeting contract, process requirements.
Preparation of Instrument hook up diagrams along with BOMs
Preparation of JB & Cable schedule, Electrical & Instrumentation cable tray layouts, Earthing layouts, Panel, JB, and Instrument location drawings.
Preparation of control room layouts.
Voltage drop, Panel Heat Load calculations
Preparation of PLC programming documents like Input/output list, Control narrative, Logic diagrams, Control Schemes, and Drive logic diagrams.
Preparation of BOM for Electrical & Instrumentation cable, cable tray, Cable glands, Adaptors accessories.
Participation in HAZOP, SIL studies / review meetings with clients.
Review/preparation of single line diagram, Power & control wiring for MCC / PDB.
Review of vendor documents for all the Electrical / Instrumentation items, and package equipment including SWAS, ESP, Wet scrubber, Ash Handling, and Fuel Handling systems.
Support to Marketing for a proposal involving a brief instrumentation item list meeting tender requirements.
Support to QAC, Field Engg. (Commissioning / SSBU), Construction as and when required.
Interaction with vendors and clients for drawing approvals.
Vendor development for the new product requirement
Functional
o Knowledge of Basic Instrumentation Engineering of Pressure / Temperature / Flow / Level measurement methods / Analyzers/control valves / BMS as applicable to Boilers & heaters is essential.
o Basic Knowledge of control schemes/logic diagrams / PLC / DCS / UPS is essential.
o Knowledge of Hazardous areas, SIL requirements/study, Intools, and NFPA is essential.
o Preliminary process knowledge of Oil & Gas / Solid fired Boilers & Heaters.
o Familiarity with electrical systems such as Drives, Motorized Actuators, LT MCC, and Motors would be an advantage
o Written and Verbal communication, Approach to Cross-functional team as interaction for data collection, it's follow up.
