Job Description
As the Design Lead at Meragi, you will be responsible for leading a team of wedding designers to deliver inspiring, high-quality designs and exceptional customer service. Your role will involve overseeing the creative work of the team, providing feedback to maintain high customer satisfaction scores, and driving revenue growth by recommending the right themes, services, and products to increase average order values. Additionally, you will ensure that timelines are met as per the defined customer journey, mentor and develop the team to elevate service quality, and handle any client concerns that may arise.
You will personally lead a select number of high-value weddings each year, with dedicated support from your team. Your team will create complimentary proposals for clients, design and curate dcor for wedding events based on chosen themes, and ensure that every design element aligns with the client's budget and complements the venue. You will collaborate with the production team to ensure feasibility and with the procurement team for pricing and sourcing.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong aesthetic sense, a clear creative vision, and strong business acumen. You should have a good understanding of design methodologies, materials, and production, along with experience in team management and working directly with B2C clients. A background in luxury brands/products/clients would be a plus.
To qualify for this position, you should have a degree in Interior Design, Set Design, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in set design, art direction, interior design, or a similar role.
