The Role
As the Design Manager at Honey Birdette, you will support the Head of Design in leading and inspiring a team of creative professionals to develop compelling and market-leading designs. You’ll bring a passion for innovative, on-brand design with a commercial edge— overseeing the entire design process, from conceptualisation to final execution, ensuring that all projects align with the brand’s vision and strategic goals. You will mentor junior designers, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive the evolution of our collections to meet both customer expectations and commercial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Design on-brand, commercially driven lingerie and subcategory collections.
Support the Head of Design to lead and mentor junior designers.
Develop seasonal concepts, colour palettes, and option plans.
Collaborate with Product, Merchandising, Retail, and Tech teams.
Identify market trends, gaps, and new category opportunities.
Oversee fittings and ensure garments meet brand standards.
Create accurate technical flats and work closely with global suppliers.
Present collections to leadership and support sales performance goals.
Integrate customer and retail feedback to refine collections.
Ensure timely delivery by managing the design critical path.
Your Sweet Spots (About You)
7-10 years’ experience in a Fashion industry role related to Lingerie or Swim design
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent accredited course in Fashion/Contour Fashion.
Exceptional creative design skills, category management, and option planning.
Expert level of proficiency in Adobe Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.
Moderate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience in design, category management, financial skills, technical construction, patternmaking, fit.
