About the Team
Our Structures Team focuses on the design of structures that deliver our clients' requirements and make a positive difference to the community.
Strengthened by reliable and proven design principles, industry-leading technology and an advisory approach, we deliver performance-based structures for both new, existing and re-engineered buildings, always considering sustainability in our design.
We pride ourselves on combining technical engineering excellence and expertise with practical construction experience to provide the right structural solution. We work closely with the project team and consultants, contractors and sub-contractors, to develop the most suitable and effective outcomes for all involved.
About the Role
ADG currently have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Structural Design Technician, to join our Southport office. You will work closely with the structural team and quickly gain exposure to projects/clients locally as well as a variety of projects across the region and wider Australia.
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for undertaking varied and detailed drafting tasks of broad scope and complexity to meet client requirements and company expectations, with minimal supervision and guidance.
The successful candidate will produce quality detail drawings on AutoCAD / REVIT or other software programs in use within the office, and ensure that documentation is delivered on time and in line with the ADG standards and QA procedures.
We are looking for someone with:
1 -5 years demonstrated experience in documenting residential and commercial high and low-rise structures, using AutoCAD and REVIT
Strong design skills and experience in large concrete frame buildings/tall buildings, steel structures in industrial, commercial and retail
The ability to find innovative, out of the box solutions
Critically assess and review designs by others
Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design
Exposure to and experienced in construction practice and standards
Ability to adhere to production schedules
