Overview:Exercises independent judgment in evaluation, selection and use of standard techniques, and solves problems when encountered. Collaborates on exceptional design and delivery for clients to complete assignments with originality and ingenuity. Anticipates job expectations and contributes to project and design solutions.
Responsibilities:Compiles data and performs design computations in collaboration with project teamWorks with senior designer(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development and production to deliver projects achieving design excellence on time and within budgetUses design iteration to develop concepts and expand on concepts of other team membersMay participate in project proposals to develop design solutionsUnderstands industry standard construction techniques, building regulations and engineering principles to apply to project plansSupports design effort and client presentations to develop client relationshipsDevelops, modifies and/or reviews the model and related documentsProduces graphic presentations, 3D renderings and implementation documentsCollaborates on the development of design throughout appropriate phases of the projectAssist in the research of material requirements and costs for projectsPrepares presentations/design assets and may build models for client/project team reviewOrganizes and delivers complete project design presentations to client user group or public forumCoordinates with consultants, contractors and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectivesResolves complex design issues with innovative and practical solutionsWorks with team to manage client expectations, team communication and consultant coordinationQualifications:Education and ExperienceAccredited professional degree in Architecture or related field required5+ years of experience preferredLicenses and CertificationsArchitectural registration strongly preferredSustainable design accreditation preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAdvanced -
