Job Description
Responsibilities:
To promote safe behavior at all times.
To provide discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project s, and applicable statutory and regulatory, requirements.
Experience on FEED and Detail design projects.
To provide technical support to the team during design, engineering and construction.
Preparing Optioneering Layout, Layouts, Sections, Elevations, Single Line Diagram, Key Line Diagram, Electrical Details engineering drawings.
Preparation and checking of all types of Electrical Layout design deliverables such as General Arrangement Drawings, Mechanical Package Drawings, 3D Models in Revit, Civil 3D, Electrical or Instrument Cable layouts etc.
Interdisciplinary check of all Civil / Structural / Piping / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation drawings.
Review of vendor drawings for Equipment / Package items.
Produce 2D drawings in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
To assist in the coordination of all activities related to the discipline.
Preparation Single line diagrams, Control & Protection schemes, interconnection diagrams and Block diagrams.
Equipment layout plan, sections and stage by stage drawings for Power plants and high voltage substations.
Building related Electrical layouts such as Cabling, Earthing, Lightning, Small Power and Lighting.
Hazardous area classification layouts.
Streetlight, telecom and other Utility layouts for Infrastructure projects.
MV and LV cable routing, cable tray arrangement.
X-refs and Layers.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strong conceptualization ability, interpersonal communication and organizational skills are a must. Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills, be willing to travel, and work successfully in a customer focused, project - oriented environment.
To have a basic understanding of the electrical design.
Working knowledge of drawing control, revisions & issue protocols.
Have an appreciation of other discipline requirements within a multi-disciplinary office.
Ability to coordinate with design team of other disciplines for inter-disciplinary interaction.
Ability to co-ordinate with client & contractor for discussions and data collection as required.
Quality Assurance - Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the company Quality Assurance system. Familiarity in self-check, discipline internal checks, Inter disciplinary checks and squad checks for deliverables.
Completion of tasks within the given time frame.
Mandatory Requirements:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering from reputed institute with 4-6 years of relevant professional experience.
Work experience on CAD software such as Revit, Civil 3D AutoCAD, E3D and MicroStation.
Desirable Requirements:
Exposure to UK and Middle East standards.
Experience with 3D modelling using Revit, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
LISP programming.
Ability to carry out basic electrical engineering calculation.
