Designer – Women’s Woven Apparel and Accessories
We are seeking a self-motivated Fashion Designer with experience in design and development of both Women’s Woven Apparel and Accessories at our unit based in Faridabad, Haryana, India.
You would be porting to the senior designer/management and should have 3-5 years’ experience with core competencies in women’s woven garments construction, fit, and grading. Your job would primarily involve developing prototypes and tech packs for domestic and international markets.
Major roles and responsibilities would be:
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Senior Designer on seasonal trend research/development ideas and techniques, to conceptualize creative and brand and customer appropriate designs.
• Responsible for the execution of the send out process of development packages to both domestic and overseas vendors including creating tech packs, along with any relevant layouts and/or detail images, supplemented with detailed yarn and stitch information.
• Work with vendors to ensure timely completion of samples, from first development stages through to final garment.
• Coordinate all sample materials, including yarn, fabric, trim.
• Coordinate preparation for design meetings and style outs, including line sheets, catalogues, and any other necessary presentation materials.
• Assist in release of tech packs from sampling to production.
Qualifications:
A degree or diploma in Fashion Design from NID/NIFT or any other premier institute.
Ideal Candidate:
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience of woven women’s apparel design and creation of tech packs.
• Highly creative with excellent sketching abilities.
• Must be well versed in garmenting technologies and techniques, yarns and fabrics etc.
• Full understanding of woven garment construction, fit and finishes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional proficiency in English language.
• Highly organized, task-oriented, business-driven.
• Project management and strong attention to detail skills
• Ability to make prudent decisions under pressure and work against tight deadlines.
• Ability to build effective partnerships.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to evaluate multi-source data and draw global trends.
• Proficiency in online market research with the latest digital tools and techniques.
• Excellent computer/IT skills.
Remuneration:
