Job Description
Lutron has an immediate opening for a self-motivated, highly technical experienced .NET Desktop Application Software Engineer. You will be working on the Windows application we deploy to program and startup all our systems! In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Mentor junior engineers as they start their career with us
Dive technically deep in on one of software platforms
Collaborate with our Product Managers, Software Architects, and Functional Area Owners and other parts of our company to develop solutions to solve problems
Desire to research emerging technologies to improve our software architecture
Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Implement the solution, unit-tests, and integration tests with multiple developers
Develop customer requirements with appropriate stakeholders
Create system and software design documentation
Work with senior engineers to review solutions
Resolve technical issues, reported bugs and field issues in a timely manner
Identify and cleanup technical debt
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
Minimum, cumulative GPA 3.0 for all degrees earned
5+ years of professional industry experience
Computer Science Fundamentals including Object Oriented Principles and Design Patterns
Fluent with C#/.NET with ideally experience developing WPF applications
The ideal candidate would have:
Experience with SQL or other relational databases
Familiarity with Agile Principles, include SAFe
Experience with BitBucket, Jira, Confluence
