The Desktop Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to end‑users, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, installing and configuring systems, and maintaining IT assets. This is an entry‑level role suitable for candidates with basic knowledge of IT support and a strong willingness to learn.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
• Provide Level 1 desktop support for laptops, desktops, printers, and network devices.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, MS Office applications, and standard enterprise software.
• Assist with user account management in Active Directory (password resets, group permissions, etc.).
• Perform hardware upgrades, system imaging, and device setup for new employees.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, Outlook, and basic networking.
• Log, track, and close tickets using ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice, etc.).
• Ensure systems comply with IT policies, security standards, and patch updates.
• Support audio/video conferencing systems and peripheral devices.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
• 🎓 Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 0–1 year of experience in IT support (internships/academic projects are acceptable).
• Basic understanding of:
• Windows Operating Systems
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Office 365 / Outlook
• Hardware components

• Experience with Active Directory, ITSM tools.
• Knowledge of System Imaging / SCCM / Intune (optional for freshers).
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
