About The Role
ARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company) are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Despatch and Production Planner to join our team at our Somerton branch.


This is a pivotal role where you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end despatch process while playing a key part in production planning. You’ll be at the centre of operations—ensuring products move efficiently from production through to delivery, while maintaining high standards of safety, service, and quality.


As you build your capability in trend analysis and planning, you’ll also contribute to production scheduling—helping to forecast demand, prioritise workloads, and optimise overall operational performance.


In this role, you will:

Coordinate the despatch of finished goods, ensuring orders are delivered on time and in full
Monitor and track truck movements to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Work closely with transport providers to schedule pickups and deliveries
Oversee safe, compliant, and efficient loading of trucks
Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock monitoring and stocktakes
Collaborate with production teams to align output with despatch priorities
Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
Support production planning and scheduling through data insights and trend analysis

You’ll also bring:

Experience in manufacturing, production, logistics or transport (preferred, but not essential)
A decisive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Sound geographical knowledge of Melbourne/Victoria
Strong relationship-building skills across a range of stakeholders
A genuine commitment to safety as a core value
A driven, outcomes-focused attitude and strong sense of ownership
Clear and confident communication skills—both written and verbal
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related systems
