Hybrid Working
Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction:
• Under moderate supervision executes different Infrastructure & environment setup.
• Mitigate risks to Business through timely and precise of agreed Infrastructure updates
• Ensuring no unwanted downtimes with infrastructure issues.
• Resolve any technical issues with infrastructure.
What will you be doing?
• Build & maintain different non-prod environments including servers, database etc.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to environment and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other support teams for any issue resolution in shared infrastructure.
• Automate any repeatable manual steps & processes.
• Work on deployment of artifacts & database scripts.
• Creating CI/CD pipelines for integration and deployment.
• Develop & maintain infrastructure documentation for KYC & Onboarding area.
• Provide technical support for debugging different issues faced by dev/test team.
• Creating change requests for any pushing any changes from Non-prod to prod.
What we’re looking for:
• Self-driven, proactive and demonstrates initiative with strong problem solving abilities.
• Strongly collaborative in nature with the ability to see the whole picture.
• Confident and assertive in nature.
Skills that will help you in the role:
· Good knowledge of Unix/Linux and able to do scripting with shell & powershell.
· Experience of working with any app server, preferably JBOSS. Having good understanding of security protocols (TLS) settings, configuration settings etc.
· Experience of working with any Infrastructure automation tool , preferably Chef and monitoring tool like AppDynamics & Splunk.
· Experience of working with any Relation Database , preferably with MS SQL Server. Having good understanding of underlying infrastructure and performance tuning.
· Experience of working with BPM tool setup and management from Infrastructure side , preferably with Pega
· Experience of working with different messaging technology, preferably IBM MQ, Kafka
· Experience of working with OpenShift Container Platform
· Experience of working with automation tools like Jenkins to develop CI/CD pipelines etc.
