Full-time 30 hours per week, M-F, 9-4, flexible hours as necessary for station “live” fundraisers / events. On-site position. Responsible to: General Manager Hourly DOE.
Job Description/Job Summary:
The Development Coordinator position is a full-time/30-hour position reporting to the KTLF Network General Manager. The Development Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and managing reports in the donor database and coordinating donor communications, fundraising projects and marketing for KTLF. This includes coordinating donor relations, Air Team membership, major gifts, grant writing, listener/donor engagement and assisting with writing direct mail and email communication.
The KTLF Radio Network is a non-profit, non-commercial Christian radio ministry. Our ministry mission is to establish, encourage and equip believers in their daily walk with Jesus Christ.
Experience/Required Qualifications Knowledge/Skill/Ability
1. Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of the ministry
2. Proficiency in Salesforce MS Office Suite; Word, Outlook, Excel
3. Bachelor’s degree in Communication or related degree desired, non-profit fundraising, philanthropy.
4. 2 years of experience in a non-profit admin role for a non-profit, non-profit radio preferred.
5. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
The ability to work independently, creatively, and collaboratively.
7. Exceptional organizational skills, including project management.
Equivalent Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Direct mail project management, writing, editing.
Non-profit radio ministry administrative experience preferred.
Experience editing/writing.
Familiarity with and enthusiasm for the mission of radio ministry.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Maintains the Salesforce donor database; updating donor records, establishing campaigns in Salesforce, pulling reports as requested by the GM,
Coordinates projects for the on-air fund drives as directed by the General Manager and in collaboration with the Programming Director.
Coordinates, pulls reports, edits, collaborates with the GM on the donor direct mail, including renewal, lapsed, and stewardship-related communication.
Ensures that new members are appropriately acknowledged and welcomed.
Manages the recognition (thank you acknowledgement) processes for donors.
Assists GM with reports to identify mid-level givers to deepen their investment in the KTLF radio ministry.
Identifies potential and existing major donors for the GM and assists to craft appropriate solicitations.
Provides donors prompt updates about projects and immediate thanks for gifts, via phone calls.
Identifies major donors for the GM, encouraging meaningful and transformational support for the network and experiences for the donor.
Project management and record keeping of the Grants.
Collaborate with General Manager to create exciting, cohesive development and audience communication that meet the stations’ growing needs.
Monitors and updates (via Seth) the website for the giving page
Prepare the year-end giving statements
Prepare DAF, etc. letters to donors
Create giving forms for the website and phone volunteers
Assist with estate gift process as needed
Prepares and submits the mailing list for the printer
· Prepare reports, spreadsheets for the fundraisers
· Assist with following up with donors via phone calls and email
· Updates returned mail in Salesforce
· Help with fundraiser set up in reception area
· Assist with answering phones during the fundraiser
· Keeps list of pledges, matching funds, during fundraiser
· Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
Serves as a back up for the Station Administrative
Answers the station phone
Prepares and takes the deposit to the bank
Processes the mail
Enter daily donations into Salesforce
