Job Description
· Manage and lead a team of full stack engineers, QA engineers, tech/team leads in the design, development, test, deployment and operation of the product.
· Manage all aspects of development requirements review, planning, quality, performance, security of the product development.
· Managerial ownership of Development, Quality, Performance and the necessary automation tasks within a specified area.
· Own and Manage the features/enhancements and sustenance tasks of product by collaborating closely with various stakeholders - BU Head, Product Management, Architect, Release Management, Leads, etc.
· Interacts with the identified Peers, Product Manager and Business Analysts for finalizing schedule/timelines for delivery, etc.
· Develop career plan/path for the team members and mentor/assist in achieving the same.
· Provide technical guidance and hands-on help to the team as and when needed.
· Practice and implement continuous feedback and continuous improvement philosophy with key focus on team member motivation, work satisfaction, efficiency and overall productivity.
· Deliver scalable and performant product with robust quality within aggressive timelines.
· Participate in feature, architecture, design and code reviews.
· Evaluate new technology options and product enhancement areas.
· Applies own judgment to independently determine a course of action which is then executed through a team independently post review.
· Sets own work schedule for the project team to meet established objectives, supervises the day to day work of lower level individual contributors.
· Abide by organization policies, culture, ethics, and decorum.
Qualifications & Skills Required
· Graduate/Post Graduate of Engineering or Computer Applications (BE/BTech/MCA).
· 12+ years of industry experience with minimum 4 years of management experience and minimum 4 years of hands-on technical implementation experience is required.
· Experience in delivering applications with UI technologies/frameworks and full stack knowhow (.NET, C#, Web API, Entity Framework Design Patterns, SQL Server, Angular, SDLC expertise, JIRA, etc.).
· At least 5 years of experience in managing a medium to large technical software team (15+ resources) and environment with rapidly changing priorities.
· Experience with process management and exhibiting autonomy in implementing adjustments when needed to ensure the quality of deliverables while delivering within tight deadlines.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Partnership and stakeholder management skills, working closely with Product and Leadership team.
· Experience in software specifications and design techniques, unit testing frameworks and functional testing frameworks.
· Experience in object-oriented analysis, design and programming, design patterns, database modelling, REST, Web APIs, SQL server, database techniques/tools such as data modelling.
· Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
