As a DevOps/Backend Engineer at GoGroup, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our backend systems while also taking a lead role in the DevOps aspects of our AWS-based infrastructure
Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using Node.js & Postgres
• Design, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2 instances, Lambda functions, API Gateway, and other AWS services
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for containerised applications (Docker) using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
• Use infrastructure as code tools (e. g., Terraform or AWS CloudFormation) to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools and practices to ensure system health and performance
• Continuously optimize infrastructure and application performance to meet SLAs
Requirements
• 3+ years industry experience in relevant technologies
• Proven experience in backend development with Node.js
• Experience with SQL databases preferably Postgres
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, especially in serverless and containerised deployments
• Experience with containerisation technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or AWS ECS
• Familiarity to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated infrastructure management
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
