As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure as code to ensure the smooth operation of multi-cloud environments. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet.
- Deploying and maintaining multi-cloud infrastructure, including private hosting and cloud-native implementations.
- Implementing and maintaining auto-scaling and load balancing to optimize performance.
- Ensuring compliance and security of all cloud-based systems.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure and application performance to identify and address issues promptly.
- Collaborating with development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
- Continuously improving and optimizing the platform for scalability, security, and reliability.
- Keeping abreast of new technologies and trends in cloud computing and applying them to enhance the platform.
In order to excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus and ELK.
- Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-based systems.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Gitlab.
- Solid scripting skills in at least one language like Python or Bash.
- Good understanding of networking concepts.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
