Summary:
We’re looking for someone to join our small team working on a high-throughput data pipeline and enterprise web application. We process millions of records per day, running text extraction and machine-learned predictive analysis in a horizontally scalable Kubernetes cluster with RabbitMQ as the messaging system. We believe firmly in deploying infrastructure through code and enabling the software engineering teams to understand and manage their own Kubernetes resources and databases. Our environment is entirely hosted within AWS and makes use of many of the technologies available therein. Technologies include Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Prometheus, Grafana, Terraform, and Helm.
Responsibilities:
A Programming language of choice (Python, Go, JS)
Container Management (Docker, RKT)
Container orchestration tool (Kubernetes, Swarm)
Infrastructure as Code tool (Helm, Terraform, Pulumi, Cloudformation)
Git-compatible source code repository (Github, Gitlab)
Configuration management (Ansible, Chef)
Visualization tool (Grafana, Kibana)
Metrics/Logs/monitoring database (Prometheus, ELK)
CI/CD
(Jenkins, Github actions, possibly multiple tools)
Testing tool (depends on the language being used)
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience administering data stores such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis, Postgres.
Experience with GCP and GKE and Kubernetes tools like ISTIO, Helm, Kiali, Cockpit.
Experience with Git version control and the Github platform.
Experience with creating content for knowledge bases.
Monitoring tools like Prometheus, DataDog, New Relic will be a definite Plus
Ability to script in python, bash - REST API programming
Experience with Agile, Jenkins-x, Spinnaker a plus!
