Role Overview:
You are a DevOps / SRE, VP at Deutsche Bank responsible for developing and managing CI / CD, monitoring, and automation solutions for Security Services Technologies under the Corporate Bank division. You will work with a Linux-based stack and various open-source tools like Jenkins, Helm, Ansible, Docker, OpenShift, and Terraform. Your role involves designing, implementing, and supporting reusable engineering solutions to foster a strong engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize CI / CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Standardize build, test, and deployment frameworks across payment platforms.
- Implement automated testing integration for unit, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Drive trunk-based development and DevOps best practices.
- Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, and CloudFormation.
- Support cloud-native deployments on Azure, GCP, and AWS with services like AKS, GKE, and EKS.
- Implement containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Define environment provisioning, scaling, and cost optimization strategies.
- Improve system resilience, observability, and production stability.
- Implement monitoring & alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace, or App Insights.
- Lead root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive controls.
- Establish SRE practices such as SLI / SLO and error budgets.
- Integrate security scanning tools into pipelines for SAST, DAST, SCA, and vulnerability scanning.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulatory and audit requirements.
- Implement secrets management and secure configuration practices.
- Drive environment automation, test data management, and release orchestration.
- Reduce manual deployment efforts and change-related incidents.
- Enable blue-green and canary deployment strategies.
- Work closely with development, QA, architecture, and operations teams.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers.
- Contribute to cross-domain collaboration and standardization of tools and processes.
- Support migration from monolithic systems to microservices / cloud-native architectures.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering, or related fields.
- 15+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in DevOps / SRE roles.
- Strong experience in CI / CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, AWS.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform.
- Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or Groovy.
- Experience in the banking / payments domain, preferably with knowledge of SWIFT, RTGS, Instant Payments, and ISO 20022.
- Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Experience in production support, incident management, database technologies like SQL, Oracle, and application servers like Tomcat and Weblogic.
- Good understanding of SRE practices and tools.
