Position Overview:
As a Data Governance (DG) Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and security of our organization's data assets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data management principles, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement data governance frameworks and standards in collaboration with stakeholders from IT, compliance, and business units.Monitor and enforce data quality standards and compliance with data governance policies.Facilitate data lineage documentation and metadata management to ensure transparency and traceability of data assets.Assist in developing and maintaining data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and data classification schemes.Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify data governance issues and propose solutions.Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to resolve data-related issues and promote data governance best practices.Support data governance training and awareness programs for employees to foster a culture of data accountability and stewardship.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience 2 years) in data governance, data management, or related roles.Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, principles, and best practices.Experience with data quality management tools and techniques.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Certification in data management or data governance (e.g., CDMP) is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or similar platforms. related to data governance.Familiarity with data privacy and security practices.
