Diesel Mechanic Helper
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all diesel-powered equipment operates safely and effectively.
Duties
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and electrical diagnostics.
• Conduct inspections on heavy equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Repair or replace components such as shocks, struts, and other critical parts.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed for testing and repairs.
• Utilize soldering techniques for electrical repairs when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
• Collaborate with other service technicians to enhance team efficiency.
Requirements
• Proven experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and ability to read schematics.
• Experience in operating heavy equipment safely.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on problem-solving.
• Ability to perform equipment repair tasks effectively, including soldering when required.
• Valid driver's license; forklift certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
