Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related systems. This role requires proficiency in working with various types of heavy equipment, including farm machinery and cranes. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet.
Duties
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and associated equipment.
Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Assemble and disassemble components of heavy machinery as needed.
Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively, including forklifts and cranes.
Utilize hand tools and welding equipment to complete repairs and modifications.
Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required for equipment repairs or installations.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in the automotive or industrial field.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, farm machinery, and industrial equipment maintenance.
Proficiency in using hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
Experience with heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Valid driver's license may be required for certain positions.
