We have a vacancy for a Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic in Curlewis North-West NSW. Applicants must be experienced and are welcome from both Australia and overseas.
About the Business
Mcngee Resources Pty Ltd is a mechanical business based in Curlewis, New South Wales, working with large-scale mechanical equipment for earthworks. We work on repairing all mining fleets, including Hitachi Diggers, Cat Trucks, Graders, Bulldozers and Drills.
In light of our continued growth within the industry, and continually growing portfolio of projects, we are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join us on a number of upcoming large-scale contracts.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to be responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of diesel motors and mechanical parts of heavy and large-scale vehicles. The Key responsibilities associated with this position includes:
Diagnose and troubleshooting the faults in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy mining machinery
Conduct inspections and ensure equipment meets all safety and operational standards
Collaborate with maintenance and operation teams to minimise downtime
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Use Cat SIS program to diagnose and ordering of correct parts
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience working with mining equipment in a field or workshop setting
Strong diagnostics skills across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems
Trade qualification in Diesel fitting, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent
Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
Commitment to safety and continuous improvements
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
More than 3-5years experience in earth moving equipment
Be flexible to carry out roster activities
Be able to work without supervision
Must have good communication skills in clear English.
