Supports maintenance department in all areas as needed with a focus on preventative maintenance duties on the production floor. Under general supervision manages maintenance, repair and troubleshoot and servicing of all machinery and equipment.
Essential Functions
• Assists PM Lead in preventative maintenance of assigned functions.
• Has the primary responsibility of the PMs on the entire fleet of Injection Molding Machines and Molding Support according to the schedule.
• (Molding Machine) Filters, Grease, Breathers, Servos, Electrical panels, etc..
• (Supporting Equipment) Conveyors, Grinders, etc
• Responsible for record keeping of all PMs performed on a daily basis.
• Provide general support to the Maintenance Department
• Handles general repairs
• Mechanical
• Basic electrical
• Minor plumbing
• Welding is a plus
• Handle 110,120, 280 and 480 Volt AC -
• Performs other duties as assigned by immediate management
• Perform & complete hydraulic and electrical trouble shooting
• Repair of molding machines, supporting equipment and facility repair
• Installation of new assets, electric, plumbing & mechanical along with building & auxiliary equipment repairs
• Complete preventative maintenance of assigned functions
• Maintain Assembly production equipment on a daily basis to ensure they are running to optimum performance.
• Train, instruct and audit operators on proper machine operation based on Standard Work Procedure.
• Communicate real time status of Assembly operations with Team Leader throughout the shift.
• Record all task and issues during shift on a production report via log book and IQMS reports
• Maintain machines and associate equipment in optimum condition
• Make necessary and/ or routine machine adjustments and to repair equipment in an effort to provide continuous production
• Responsible for knowing how to operate all machines and equipment in order to understand their function and repair them
• Responsible for knowing and identifying all different styles of caps, jars and their codes(i.e. S, RS, RM, RMX)
• Responsible for making tooling changes (size) within a reasonable amount of time
• Performs other duties as assigned by immediate management.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position requirements: **
• High School Diploma / GED Equivalent / Hydraulic & electrical trade school preferred
• 5+ years experience electrical/mechanical background
• 5+ years in manufacturing environment preferred
• 5+ years working experience in facilities manufacturing environment
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
• Must be able to work flexible hours, work overtime as needed, and share responsibilities with On-Call System
• Willingness and ability to learn new techniques and concepts
• Ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate safe work habits be able to properly follow detailed directions as given by the supervisor
• Ability to lift 50 lbs on occasion or frequently.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
• Experience using electric & hydraulic schematics, with proven troubleshooting abilities
