Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Rochester, NY.

Ryder Technician Video
• Average Weekly Pay: $1440
• Hourly Pay: $36.00 per hour
• Sign On Bonus:
Ryder Pays You $1750 at 30 days and $1750 at +0 days
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus:
Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
• Schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday
• Hours:
Second Shift Tuesday - Friday 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm and Saturday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
We want the right Maintenance Repair Mechanic to join us at Ryder to work on Heavy Duty Vehicles.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred
• Basic tools required
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
• Routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, brake and tire work
• Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
• Advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, required
• Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred
• All other certification as required by location, required
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to perform all T3 tasks
• Demonstrated advanced analytical and repair skills
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
• Basic computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be available for shift work/weekends and on-call duty as required
• Prefer ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, electrical, Electronics or ASE Master Mechanic
• Must road test vehicles as necessary
• Must pass a Ryder Drug Test and DOT physical
Responsibilities:
• Complete all OEM on-line diagnostic scan tool software courses
• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
• Instruct and advise other technicians regarding maintenance repair procedures
• Work in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines
