Opportunities for potential earnings of more than $120K per annum with both day and afternoon shifts available. Annual CPI increases also offered.
We are seeking diesel technicians and an auto electrician for our growing Truganina and Port Melbourne branches which are both newly built workshop facilities. The successful applicants will be self-motivated individuals who can work well with the AJL team and at the same time have the ability and desire to learn new skills whilst working within an ever-expanding company in an exciting and fast paced environment.
The positions will entail performing work on all types of heavy machinery, prime movers, stevedoring equipment, trailers, and light vehicles both on site and field service.
The ideal candidates have:
Relevant heavy or other relevant trade certificate
Current Driver’s license
Vehicle Inspector Accreditation (not essential but viewed favourably).
Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Strong electrical skills
Experience working on heavy/light diesel equipment.
Experience in mobile plant/agriculture machinery will be highly regarded.
A good working knowledge of hydraulic systems would be advantageous
Willing to work overtime, some Saturdays and call out rosters.
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Positive and can-do attitude with a focus on teamwork
Self-motivation
Sound communication skills
Be able to work unsupervised.
