Responsibilities
The hours are 11:00am - 7:30pm weekdays and every other weekend
The dietary cook will be responsible for serving and cooking food, cleaning, and stocking the kitchen area while adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines
The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards in accordance with following current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the hospital
Ensure strict compliance with fire and health regulations governing food preparation, serving, and building maintenance for dining facilities
Ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
Assist with meal planning and inventory management
Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure efficient meal service
Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Buss tables and assist with dishwashing as needed
Assist with placing orders and receiving deliveries of food and beverage supplies, ensuring that all contents delivered match the content and quantities on each order form
Perform food preparation, cleaning or serving tasks as needed to confirm that guests are served promptly

Education And Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service setting preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal food regulations.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
Certifications:
• ServSafe certification is preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
