Here's how a Digital Communications Coordinator for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
Act as a champion for PCL’s SharePoint-based intranet, ensuring it remains effective and relevant to the workforce.
Support daily intranet publishing.
Support strategic site enhancement projects to support the evolving needs of internal clients.
Uphold and support intranet governance, ensuring compliance with brand, content, and publishing standards.
Deliver digital content in a way that is visually appealing, intuitive to navigate, and engaging for end users.
Conduct regular audits to ensure content remains accurate and relevant.
Maintain back-end site operations, including document libraries, lists, and metadata.
Participate in quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate technical enhancements and ensure quality outcomes.
Provide writing and editing support to ensure consistent brand voice.
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. communications, information design).
A minimum of two years in a communications role.
At least two years of hands-on experience managing content within Microsoft SharePoint.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Power BI is considered an asset.
A strong understanding of information architecture, metadata, taxonomy, and governance principles for enterprise content management solutions.
A strong understanding of effective user interface and user experience (UI/UX) principles.
Excellent project management, time management and organizational skills.
