The primary responsibility of this role is to perform various tasks related to content for the video catalog quality, under general supervision. The day to day job requires the individual to make judgment-based decisions by following a standard operating procedure. This could involve tasks such as:
Fixing and creating SDH, subtitle, metadata, dubbed audio and descriptive audio.
Create or fix subtitle, captions/SDH and ensure subtitles translate audio and provide inputs to update
Prime Video's style guides so that they continue to raise the bar on customer experience
Perform full quality checks and complex fix for timed text created by third party content providers
Lead quality audits to benchmark third party delivered content and perform corrections.
Conduct training and long-term plan for common quality issues
Provide support for other title parts such as Metadata, Dubbed Audio and Descriptive Audio
Perform UAT for proprietary software developed in house
Basic Qualifications
2+ Years’ experience working with post production house or studios as subtitle editor
English native speaker or a certified professional
Ability to understand a variety of English accents
A passion for media & entertainment and streaming services
The ability to apply critical thinking and provide analysis while working with creative content
Detail-oriented, ability to prioritize tasks and take judgment calls to deliver quality against accelerated timelines
Demonstrated ability to engage with a culturally diverse and global team
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in other languages is a plus
Experience and understanding of digital media and/or digital video supply chain
Passionate about understanding customers and their behavior in order to drive new feature development
Preferred work experience in a fast paced environment.
Proven ability to deliver results and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
Experience managing, getting things done, and communicating relevant results to stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with studios, third party service providers and streaming platforms.
