About the Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Digital Content Producer to join ECU’s Creative Services team within Growth, Engagement and Marketing. This role sits within the broader Digital and Customer Experience team, which leads the delivery of customer and digital experiences across key contact channels, including web, phone, SMS, email and social. The team plays a critical role in delivering targeted campaigns and enhancing how prospective and current students engage with ECU.

This role has been recently refined to strengthen ownership of digital content and introduce a more proactive, structured approach to how content is created, managed and optimised across ECU’s channels. In this role, you will create and manage customer centric content across digital and offline channels, aligning with campaigns and user needs. You will play a key role in enhancing visibility, engagement and overall performance through high quality content, strong website ownership, and continuous optimisation.

Working closely with UX, design, web, social and marketing automation teams, you will ensure content is integrated, accessible and aligned to ECU’s brand and digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Develop compelling, high quality content across a range of formats including web, blog articles, email newsletters, video scripts, brochures, infographics and digital campaigns
Take ownership of key website content, including structure, navigation and content hierarchies to ensure a seamless and user friendly experience
Curate and implement a customer centric content approach across key content experiences, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and optimisation for engagement and visibility
Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, tone of voice, accessibility requirements and ECU’s Digital Design System
Assist in managing content calendars, including content refresh cycles aligned to campaigns, student lifecycle and broader marketing activity
Collaborate with UX, design and digital teams to integrate written and visual content effectively across platforms
Contribute to ongoing SEO and AI-assisted optimisation (AEO/GEO), improving website performance, accessibility and reach
Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to support content creation, optimisation and continuous improvement
Proactively identify opportunities to improve content, introduce structure and cadence, and drive continuous improvement

About you

You are a proactive, detail oriented content professional who enjoys taking ownership and working across a broad range of digital channels.

You will bring:
A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, digital media or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
Demonstrated experience in digital content production, copywriting or web content management
A proactive approach, with the ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise and compelling content for diverse audiences
Experience working with web CMS platforms (Squiz DXP experience highly regarded)
Understanding of SEO principles, including site structure, indexing and performance
High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to self manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
A collaborative, adaptable mindset and a genuine passion for delivering high quality digital experiences
