Digital Marketer/Copywriter
We are looking to hire a talented Digital Marketer/Copywriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be positive, passionate, collaborative, and an experienced copywriter with a history of working in a digital marketing role.
The Role
As a Digital Marketer/Copywriter, you will be pivotal in creating and executing compelling content and digital marketing strategies to engage various audiences. In collaboration with our small team, your work will support our global technology clients in promoting their products and services and building awareness of AXD services to our diverse audience.
We are seeking an individual who thrives on in-depth research and possesses the experience and passion to produce written communication that hits the brief every time. Whether it's developing website copy, email campaigns, scripting videos, or creating sales flyers or guides, your expertise and creativity will be essential in responding to briefs while working closely with our team to meet tight deadlines.
A natural storyteller with a knowledge of hardware and software technology and exceptional writing skills, you will be versatile enough to excel across different projects, including strategy briefs, email writing, product and services copy plus a wide range of sales and marketing content.
This role involves approximately 60% copywriting and 40% digital marketing, but this may vary weekly. As a small business, you never know what is around the corner, so the ideal candidate will have the attitude and capability to be flexible, get stuck in and meet the needs of different project aspects as required.
Key Objective:
• Assist in managing the company's online presence through website content, landing pages and social media.
• Plan, research, write, edit, and distribute content and marketing materials, including brochures, creative email campaigns, advertisements, sales and marketing materials, website copy and more for clients and the AXD brand.
• Craft clear, compelling, and tailored content that addresses the specific needs and pain points of our B2B audiences and ensure optimal messaging.
• Produce copy that explains products and services across a range of industries, including manufacturing technology, Industrial IoT, engineering solutions and components, hardware and software, edge, AI and much more.
• Manage monthly electronic newsletters.
• Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.
• Manage and optimise campaigns, including keyword research, and performance analysis.
• Utilise SEO best practices to optimise content for search engines and improve organic search rankings.
• Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all content adheres to brand guidelines and collaborating with the design team.
• Work with the Sales Manager to plan and deliver sales campaigns to win new clients.
Key Requirements:
• At least 3 years experience in a content or marketing position with copywriting as its primary focus.
• Passion for storytelling, research and data.
• Familiarity with the technology sector, with previous roles in this field being advantageous.
• Desire to learn more about SaaS, technology and financial services.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Extensive experience in producing different types of marketing and communications materials across various channels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and workflows simultaneously.
• Experience in managing website content and social media.
Essential Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
• Significant work experience in copywriting and digital marketing, preferably in B2B.
• Proven track record of creating impactful content that drives engagement and achieves business objectives.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Desirable Skills:
• Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems.

We also partner with Marketing Agencies to deliver white-label copy for their clients. Salary: £27,000 – £35,000 per annum
Location: Ancoats, Manchester. (Hybrid – office based 3 days per week / 2 days WFH)
Hours of work: Full time, 8.30 – 4.30 Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
