Job Description
As part of the True North Hospitality team, the Digital Menu & Signage Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing fan-facing menu content across digital and select print platforms at Canada Life Centre, Burton Cummings Theatre, and other TNH events. Working closely with Marketing and internal stakeholders, this role ensures menus are accurate, aligned with brand and promotional priorities, and updated in a timely manner to support consistent guest experience.
What to be excited for in this role:
Coordinate digital menu and signage needs.
Update digital screen systems and develop and maintain proficiency with proprietary software.
Execute content updates on digital menu boards and other screens, maintaining accuracy of items, descriptions, allergens (as provided), and pricing.
Monitor screens for correctness and performance; troubleshoot basic issues and escalate to IT/vendors as needed.
Create and edit print-ready files ensuring alignment with brand standards for Premium Suites and arena in-seat service.
Assist with layout design and organization of menu boards to improve readability and guest decision
Audit menu boards regularly to ensure accuracy with POS system data.
Support troubleshooting or coordination with technical teams for digital menu board systems.
Collaborate with marketing, operations, and culinary teams on promotional items.
Track menu changes and maintain documentation for operational reference.
Maintain strong documentation practices, including version control, standardized templates, and operational reference materials.
Monitor allergen communication across all menus.
Support seasonal planning and special hospitality projects.
Provide support on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
What we need from you:
Experience updating and managing digital content, menus, or signage (digital menu boards, CMS tools, or similar).
A demonstrated and comprehensive background, understanding, and experience with graphic design applications, specifically Adobe Creative Cloud suite and in particular, InDesign, Photoshop.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, basic reporting).
Understanding of food service operation and the impact of menu accuracy on speed of service and guest experience.
The capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and frequently shifting deadlines in a diverse and evolving environment independently.
Excellent attention to detail with strong proofreading, organizational, and time-management.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work productively across departments.
Comfort working with menu data, spreadsheets, or basic reporting to identify inconsistencies and opportunities.
The ideal candidate combines creative design expertise with attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in alignment with the event schedule.
