BIM Designer Job Description
As a BIM designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating and managing digital models of building structures and systems. Your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaborative nature are crucial in driving project success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop Constituent Parts: Create and manage digital models of building structures and systems using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure model accuracy and completeness.
• Production of Project Output: Produce high-quality project output while adhering to safety practices in the workplace.
• Maintain and Update Models: Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create Revit Worksets: Create Revit worksets and understand the Revit work-sharing process.
Requirements:
• Education: Minimum Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Information Technology or relevant field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM modeling.
• Skills: Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or Bentley MicroStation.
• Attributes: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
