Responsibilities
This team of senior architects is responsible for applying and operating our architecture practice across Digital Operations by contributing to and leveraging consistent frameworks, roles, processes, and technology patterns to create trusted, compliant and efficient solutions supporting factory operations, supply chain and engineering product development
You will collaborate with peer enterprise and solution architects, stakeholders and leaders across organizations to ensure the operating model and key activities are executed, documented, and organized across our Digital team
You will be accountable for our team cadence, program activities, and extended team collaboration events
You will participate in and contribute to our architecture repository, knowledgebase, intranet presence, and standard work
This experienced senior individual contributor will report to the Architecture Leader within the Digital Operations directorate, but will also work across Digital teams, business functions, and other RTX businesses to build relationships, assess, understand, and improve and apply the architecture practice
You will develop and provide artifacts documenting architectural roadmaps, objectives, and technological standards
You will also act as a consultant to aid in the development of solutions to drive transformational initiatives and business outcomes
As an architect, you will use formal architecture frameworks, agile practices, and strategic thinking (including TOGAF, Zachman, Scaled Agile, and DODAF) to optimize our work, and coach architects on best practices and agile concepts as well as mentor staff across the directorate in architectural ways of thinking
Product Lifecycle Management systems in an environment that designs and builds advanced technology solutions
Understanding and integrating Factory 4.0/5.0 IoT, Data Analytics, and Visualization utilizing tool suites such as Ignition
Driving integration of solutions with Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as SAP
Driving solutions and integrations with Supply Chain systems such as Kinaxis
Collaborate with Digital and Raytheon Product Engineering teams on Digital enablers for Raytheon product development, including Digital Thread
Driving the refactor and harmonization of a diverse set of systems supporting critical path engineering and manufacturing systems utilizing cloud (AWS/Azure), containers, and low code solutions such as Mendix
Enabling and improving Digital Engineering systems, Model Based IDEs and Digital Thread/Digital Twin
Develop architecture artifacts associated with phases A through E of the TOGAF Architecture Development Method, as needed, for strategic and tactical assignments
Mature Digital Technology’s architecture practice by championing shared principles, strategies, and implementation techniques
Contribute to growing the maturity and capabilities of the architecture and digital teams
Advocate for enterprise architecture by building key influence relationships and socializing architecture contributions across Raytheon
Conduct architecture review boards, and guide, schedule, and coach architects and teams through Architecture processes and how to use standard work templates
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of enterprise architectures, models, and processes stored in established repositories for all architects to use
Coordinate activities and conduct collaboration events with architects and teams across Digital to develop relationships and share knowledge
Lead and/or participate in team agile planning events and ceremonies for Digital Operations SAFe Agile Release Trains
Mentor and support teams utilizing agile practices

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
