The opportunity

At QBE, our digital products play a critical role in delivering great customer outcomes, meeting regulatory obligations and enabling sustainable growth. We’re looking for a Digital Product Owner to take accountability for the vision, roadmap and delivery of digital products across AUSPAC.

This role is a backfill following the launch of our growth strategy and is responsible for translating business goals and customer needs into best‑practice, user‑focused digital products. You’ll bring together insights from across the business, lead product owners and work with cross‑functional agile teams to deliver digital outcomes that balance customer experience, compliance and commercial objectives.

About QBE

At QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers. And we do it all with a human touch.

We’re an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries – which means we’re big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. It’s an exciting time. We’re building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner.

What if you could have a positive impact – at work and in the world? As part of the QBE team, you’ll get to spend every day working with people who are passionate, talented and kind.

Your new role

In this role, you will:

Own and drive the product vision and roadmap, aligning customer needs, business strategy, regulatory requirements and long‑term growth objectives

Act as the voice of the customer, using data, research and insights to prioritise value, reduce friction and guide product decisions

Partner closely with business, technology, legal and compliance stakeholders to shape, deliver and continuously evolve the digital product roadmap

Lead product delivery through strong agile practices, including backlog prioritisation, sprint planning and value‑driven execution with cross‑functional teams

Maintain a deep understanding of the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, embedding customer experience, risk and compliance considerations into product decisions

Use performance metrics, customer insights and market trends to evaluate product performance, inform change and optimise outcomes

About you

You’ll bring a strong blend of strategic product thinking, analytical capability and stakeholder influence, with the ability to translate complex business and customer needs into high‑quality, scalable digital outcomes.

Strong business communication, presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholder groups

Excellent analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving capability, using data and insights to guide product decisions

Deep understanding of digital product strategy, with proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable, customer‑focused solutions

Significant experience delivering digital products and initiatives within agile environments, particularly using scrum methodologies

Proven track record managing complex delivery roadmaps, business plans and competing priorities across multiple stakeholders

Solid technical awareness, including experience with digital platforms, analytics, APIs and content management systems, supported by strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
