The Opportunity

Ashurst Advance Digital (AAD) is the firm's technology and experience powerhouse. We work with our NewLaw business to develop differentiated services for our clients, whilst embedding digital as a competency for the whole firm through developing and enabling future-fit tools, capabilities and mindsets.

Our Digital Services team designs, develops and delivers integrated solutions that combine our legal expertise with best-in-class legal technology and user design principles to enhance the delivery of our legal services for clients.

We are seeking motivated professionals with excellent problem-solving skills, who work independently, and are curious and detail-oriented to join our award-winning team as a Manager in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

In this role you will be responsible for helping to design new digital services and solutions, overseeing the development and implementation of such services and solutions, and generating new business for the team. You will work as part of a global team, and collaborating with lawyers, stakeholders and clients in the successful delivery of complex digital solutions.

We are looking for outstanding, creative and ambitious candidates with an expert level of hands-on experience working with a range of legal technology solutions, including business process automation software, artificial intelligence, collaboration platforms and low/no-code tools.

On a day-to-day basis you could be:

using automation, AI and data analytics to improve the accuracy and speed at which we can deliver services and transform advice.
creating fit-for-purpose digital solutions to help drive efficiencies and productivity at a matter, project and team level.
developing collaborative, cloud-based workspaces for legal and client teams to work and communicate together more efficiently.
maximising opportunities for commercialising digital transformation.

About you:

Expert knowledge and hands-on experience developing with document automation, databases, AI document review, collaboration and workflow platforms for legal and business use cases. Develops proof-of-concepts for new services and solutions capable of being deployed to clients. Able to effectively train team members in these systems, and capable of resolving all queries and challenges raised.
Training and experience using Microsoft SharePoint and PowerPlatform (including PowerBI, PowerAutomate and PowerApps) or similar software. Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including building macros, pivot tables, and formulas. Experience in business analysis (BA) and/or project management methodologies.
Experience with legal technology platforms is desirable, such as HighQ Collaborate, Contract Express, Kira, Intralinks, Avvoka, Ansarada, Atticus, Harvey, RelativityOne and ContractPodAI.
Takes the lead in client and matter management. Builds exceptional client relationships and helps the firm to secure, retain and cross-sell to clients. Recognised internally and externally as a leading subject matter expert on digital services and seeks to assist clients and internal stakeholders understand the benefits of the services we provide in a professional and insightful manner. Generates and follows through on ideas for marketing and business development activities.
