About the Role



As a Lead in the Digital Innovation & Growth team you’ll be at the forefront of Coles’ Accelerated by Digital strategy - shaping the future of our digital portfolio including omnichannel customer experience and eCommerce growth. You’ll work closely with the Digital Leadership team and cross-functionally to tackle high-impact, complex questions; provide insight to inform decision-making; and drive high-impact digital initiatives. You’ll bring structure to complexity and help define a clear omnichannel customer experience roadmap that reflects evolving customer expectations, emerging technologies and business priorities. This is a unique opportunity to drive high-impact change at the intersection of strategy, transformation, and innovation.


What you will be doing


Shape the Digital Strategy - Drive Coles’ digital innovation and growth focus by identifying trends, identifying opportunities and defining customer-led propositions
Turn insight into action – Bring structure to ambiguity and use data to solve complex problems, fast
Drive outcomes – Lead high-impact initiatives from idea to execution through well-structured plans and coordinated execution.
Influence and align – Partner with leaders across Customer, Tech, Finance and Group Strategy to deliver strategically important initiatives
Tell the story – Craft clear, compelling narratives that move ideas forward and inform decision making
Build what’s next – Help create a culture of curiosity, collaboration and continuous improvement across the digital ecosystem
Grow the team - Help build a high-performing, collaborative culture within the team and uplift capability across the broader Digital community

What You'll Bring



Strategic mindset and commercial acumen - Background in management consulting, investment banking, strategy or transformation, ideally within retail, tech, or consumer environments
Structured problem-solving – Ability to cut through ambiguity, structure complex problems, and develop data-led, customer-informed solutions
Professional Experience - Around two to six years of work experience post-degree.
Compelling communication – Strong written and verbal skills, experience writing executive or Board-level communication
Cross-functional influence – Comfort navigating a large organisation and aligning diverse stakeholders
Execution focus –Track record of turning ideas into outcomes through thoughtful planning and delivery
Growth mindset and leadership – A self-starter who builds momentum, lifts those around them, and contributes to a high-performing, collaborative team culture
