The Role
Purpose of the role
As Laminar Project's Accounts Receivables Rockstar, you will play a crucial role in our finance team by managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections, and supporting various financial tasks. This position is vital in maintaining the financial stability and drive our company’s success by accurately managing invoicing, monitoring payments, and resolving any billing discrepancies.
Team
In our finance team, we make sure our accounts are compliant in the multiple countries we operate but above all, we make sure our cashflows are properly managed (both inflows and outflows). We work closely with the other teams across Laminar to keep our finances in perfect health, allowing us to fuel our exponential growth. You will be inserted in our newly established Financial Team. Your initial leader is our finance manager.

Your top 6 responsibilities
1. Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with clients/customers to collect outstanding payments promptly, reducing the number of overdue accounts and minimizing bad debt risks.
2. Invoicing Process Support: prepare client expense reports to help engagement leads on the invoicing process, while supporting further inquiries about billing discrepancies and disputes.
3. Financial Reporting Support: Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and revenue forecasts. Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making.
4. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounts receivable processes and improve efficiency. Implement best practices to optimize billing and collections procedures, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the finance department and boost financial stability.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as consulting and other business service teams to ensure alignment on billing and collections processes and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
6. Develop everyone: Maximise the development of your team personally and professionally and educate our clients to improve as well
Your Capabilities
You will be a detail-oriented accounts receivable prodigy, adept at managing invoices and collections, while carrying strong numerical skills, communication abilities, and a customer service mindset that are essential for success in this role.
As a candidate, you should have:
Must-Have (The fundamentals)
o Mastery: 2-3 years background in Accounts receivables or Collections. Excellent Excel skills
o Communication: Precise and structured communicator both written and verbal in English
o Leadership: A relentless approach to dealing with people
o Impact: A track record of making organisations better beyond just doing the basics
Nice to Have (If you don’t have it now you will after joining)
o Mastery: Strong capability in data management and analytics tools, like PowerBI
o Communication: Fluency in English
o Leadership: A proven leader/coach/developer of teams or teams of teams
o Impact: A strategic mindset, managing to zoom out and understand the business principles, strategy, and how those intersect through financial management
