Job Description
We at Pricol Gourmet Pvt Ltd, operating award winning Pan Asian restaurant brands like Soy Soi and Little Soi, are looking for a Senior Dimsum Chef, based out of Chennai and will create, improvise and oversee the preparation of Dimsum across all our Pan Asian Outlets in Delhi, Kochi, Chennai, Coimbatore and any other future openings.
As a dim sum chef, your job profile would involve the following responsibilities:
1. Menu Planning: Designing, creating and refining a diverse menu of dim sum dishes, considering factors such as taste, presentation, and seasonal ingredients.
2. Food Preparation: Preparing and cooking dim sum items such as dumplings, buns, rolls, and other traditional Chinese snacks using various cooking techniques like steaming, frying, and boiling.
3. Ingredient Selection: Ensuring the quality and freshness of ingredients, and maintaining proper inventory levels.
4. Culinary Creativity: Exploring new flavors and ingredients to develop unique and innovative dim sum recipes, while also maintaining the authenticity of traditional dishes.
5. Team Coordination: Supervising and training kitchen staff to ensure proper food handling, cooking techniques, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
6. Efficient Service: Collaborating with the service staff to ensure timely delivery of freshly prepared dim sum dishes to customers and maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen environment.
7. Quality Control: Conducting regular inspections to maintain consistency in taste, appearance, and portion size of dim sum dishes.
8. Customer Engagement: Interacting with customers, addressing their queries, and providing recommendations or suggestions on dim sum options based on their preferences
