Join Our Team as a Casual Direct Care Worker - Residential at Naracoorte Hospital!
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a meaningful impact in aged care? Naracoorte Hospital is seeking a skilled Casual Direct Care Worker to assist in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in the Residential Care Home.
About the Role: As a Casual Direct Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalised care to our elderly residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and mobility support, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide assistance with bathing, showering, personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
Support toileting and continence management for residents.
Aid in feeding residents and maintaining their mobility through transferring and lifting, including using mechanical aides.
Perform routine tasks such as bed making, cleaning equipment and aids, and distributing clean laundry.
Record general observations, contribute to resident assessments, and identify diversional therapy needs.
Complete documentation according to established policies and procedures.

Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
