Job Description
Position:
The position shall be responsible for driving the overall business of the Region including CRC and Partner Channel (FDO & FBP) Business. The Position shall ensure profitability and achieve set business objectives not limiting to budgets (target), manpower (staffing), training, nurturing and development of leaders.
This position shall also be responsible to develop marketing & sales strategy, analyze market trends, study and counter competition activities, open new business partners to scale up business as per market potential in unrepresented markets, build appropriate relationships with customers/ traders and institutions and manage large teams.
Scope:
As a Profit Centre Head- Direct Sales of the North Region will have to deliver the business turnover of all business channel in line with the AOP/Budget and KRAs for the Financial Year.
Key criteria for the role:
- Ability to appoint and manage partners / Distribution management
- Data orientation & day-to-day execution focus
- Large Team Management
- General Trade experience - someone who worked on Distribution, meaning partner onboarding, management, expansion.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing sales plans for the Region/ State;
- Responsible to achieve the set targets / budgets for CRC & Partner Channel business.
- Open New Partners to scale up the Partner channel business
- Ensure all the employees operate within their designated territories in compliance with the Policy, Process and SOP to work in harmony
- Ensure employees meet the performance benchmark/JBP consistently
- Ensure review of employee performance through Dashboards
- Analyze current market and identify areas where products need to be stabilized / strengthened
- Design sales programs through field activities, roadshows, and camps
- Maintain good product mix to ensure higher productivity and profitability
- Track the BTL/Digital leads and ensure conversion
- Ensure the outstanding receivables
- Identify training needs
- Ensure trainings calendars are adhered to
- Handle customer complaints effectively
- Responsible to ensure recoveries of units / order forms, money, and all receivables from absconding/inoperative employees
- Track, monitor and engage high performing employees
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge
Accountabilities & Performance Measures:
- Achievement of sales, profit, and strategic objectives for the Region in all the Business channels of Direct Sales
- Accountable for the on-time implementation of organizational processes and ensuring team adherence to the standards set by the organization
- Responsible for staffing, supervision, and training
- Accountable for accurate and on-time reporting and ensure teams report through various process and media (manual, SAP and App related) for organization's effectiveness.
Reporting / Alignment:
- Position reports to Regional Manager - North
- Functionally and administratively manages all sales staff of the Region for Direct Sales
Qualification & Work experience:
- MBA / equivalent
- Minimum of 15 years in Sales / Business Development
- Minimum of 7 years in direct sales or allied environment
- Minimum of 5 years leading a team size of 750 plus
Competencies / Skills:
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
- Sound understanding of the market, handling Business Partners and Customers, cost management, P&L
- Communication skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Operational knowledge of MS office application and knowledge of SAP /ERP is added advantage
- Good - Presentation, Team building & Organizing skills
