The Brand & Content Marketing team contributes to this by serving as the strategic architects building meaningful audience experiences that inspire brand consideration and love, one spoken word at a time. Within the broader organisational vision, the Brand & Content Marketing team is the critical catalyst, translating the overarching business objective into tangible audience interactions. The team serves as the strategic bridge between Audible's ambitious marketplace opportunity and the actual connection with listeners through carefully crafted, localised brand narratives, tentpole content selections and in-person experiences.

The Director, Brand & Content Marketing, Australia is a multifaceted marketer that will drive Audible's content strategy, brand development and campaign execution across the organisation. By orchestrating cross-functional partnerships, developing innovative marketing plans and overseeing both campaign strategy and day-to-day operational tasks, you will play a pivotal part in elevating Audible's brand presence in Australia, optimising content performance and ultimately accelerating the company's growth. This is a 14 month maternity leave contract based in our Sydney office.

As the Director, Brand & Content Marketing FTC you will...
Partner with the B&CM team both in Australia and globally to own the marketing strategy and implementation of a stream of content across Audible’s slate of Original and exclusive content as well as wider Brand initiatives
Write, disseminate and refine marketing strategy briefs for key titles and brand initiatives, gathering input from cross-functional teams to ensure a robust framework is in place to foster best-in-class marketing.
Present marketing strategy and activation plans to internal teams and external stakeholders
Organise campaign asset requests across all teams and shape a comprehensive strategy that draws together all aspects of the campaign
Work with the Casting, Production and Content leads on talent management, specifically as it relates to go-to-market plans and promotional asks
Attend local shoots and manage marketing needs on set. Ensure white glove treatment for our talent, while ensuring all promotional and creative needs are captured for the campaign
Drive inter-company and cross-functional partnership with Creative, Content, Content Strategy and Content Programming, Legal, Product, Technology and Editorial teams to ensure robust campaign offerings
Review and handle marketing assets for approval, ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements as well as marketing and advertising standards
Support cover art design for campaigns working with the Creative and Content teams as an audience and marketing expert
Develop and disseminate organic social strategy for campaigns in conjunction with the Social Media Manager and agency partners
Own governance around key titles and campaign initiatives including building work-back schedules, status updates, reporting and budget management
Broker partnerships externally to maximise earned share of voice. Partner with the Global Brand Activations & Sponsorships team to support the development and implementation of strategic event frameworks, ensuring alignment on brand positioning, messaging architecture, and priority content integration throughout the event lifecycle
Generate campaign level reporting and post campaign analysis that will drive continual learning in the team
Identify ways to reduce operational churn through generative AI, so that time and resource is spent on the most high-value work. Utilise the full suite of available AI tools and continually up skill and embrace the leading-edge of technology-powered marketing
Contribute to the strength and health of the team, both within the Brand & Content Marketing org, as well as the wider Australian hub

Basic Qualifications

Professional Degree (Bachelor's degree, MBA, M.A., M.S., or another post-graduate degree)
7+ years of content marketing experience with demonstrable strengths in partner and talent marketing
Experience running innovative and effective cross-channel marketing campaigns (TV, Digital, Social, Experiential)
Project management skills involving stakeholders from different teams, levels, and external partnership organisations
Experience presenting to senior leadership and external partners

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with social-first and experiential marketing and other innovative marketing formats
Experience in partner marketing campaigns with large scale brands
Well organised, with a keen eye for details
Technology-savvy with demonstrable experience of harnessing Generative and Agentic AI to drive efficiency in day-to-day operations
Experience with a large-scale digital entertainment company or media / content industry desirable
