Role Purpose

The Director, Delivery Management ensures on-time delivery of all published services within the Global Technical Delivery (GTD) organization. This leader will create a scalable organization that flexes as the needs dictate. The deep delivery experience of this Director will allow them to partner closely with the Global Project Management organization, guaranteeing client expectations are met, and with other groups within, across, and outside Signant Health, as needed. This role will drive the adoption of best practices throughout the organization. It is expected of this inspirational leader to be able to work in ambiguous situations, lead change by influencing of others, and operate autonomously.

As part of our team, your Key Accountabilities:
• Accountable for on-time delivery of all technical delivery commitments, with deep expertise on enterprise solution delivery, specifically large-scale and complex resource scheduling, forecasting, and risk mitigation.
• Deep expertise in one or more major competencies (Solution, Engineering, Testing, Delivery) who can enforce industry & regulatory best practices and consistency of standards use within their pods of responsibility.
• Experience leading geo-graphically dispersed organizations, with direct management responsibilities or indirect management of deliverables for 2+ concurrent projects at a given time.
• Ability to build upon synergies and manage exacting client expectations and executes resource management solutions, allowing teams to scale in response to changing needs.
• Establishes and drives both strategic and tactical direction of the organization by using industry-standard delivery and team performance metrics, constantly adjusting to raise team performance.
• Represents their teams/pods at all Delivery Cross-Portfolio Planning Exercises, with keen focus on release coordination and critical path alignment and acts as decision maker and escalation point-of-contact in resolving implementation impediments within their teams/pods.
• Partners strongly with the Global Project Management and Sales, Product, and R&D organizations to create a closed-loop feedback cycle of innovation.
• Coaches technical teams on capability and implementation best practices, with emphasis on agility, to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Implements financially-sound resource utilization solutions, indexed on low-cost operations and a progressive skills management framework.

You’ll need to bring:-
• Twelve (12+) years of combined and progressive enterprise solution delivery, software engineering and/or solution architecture experience, preferably with consulting services delivery experience.
• Eight (8+) years of progressive and global, departmental and personnel management experience within engineering and delivery organizations of over twenty five (25+) reports.
• Participated in significant practice building and/or organizational redesign efforts, preferably a history of successful agile delivery transformations in a high-pressure environment.
• Demonstrated experience in defining and rolling out quality strategy, standards, regulatory, and best practices for enterprise software development.
• Created “Communities of Practice” centered on software development and delivery competencies and led its global rollout across, at least, two countries or locations.
• Hands-on manager with a history of managing concurrent end-to-end projects and/or turnaround failing engagements with the least collateral damage.
• A passion for staying current and understanding new trends in engineering, automation, professional services, agile processes, and project management disciplines.
• Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach senior-level staff to manage and develop high-performance teams.
• Exceptional operational and business leadership skills, including change leadership and stakeholder influence abilities, and can drive innovation in capital project management approaches/strategies.
• Possesses an innovative mindset, gained through progressive experience across industries or deep expertise in a relevant competency, that challenges status quo and drives sustainable change across the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to influence direction and/or decisions without the need for hierarchy and authority.
• Execute decisions courageously, drawing upon available information, professional experience, and business context.
• Adept and savvy in working with individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds and technical experience, working towards mutual benefit and collaboration.
• Promotes a culture of agility, growth, and accountability, demonstrated through transparent and vulnerable leadership.
