QLeave is a statutory authority administering portable long service leave schemes for workers across Queensland's building and construction, contract cleaning and community services industries. The organisation plays a vital role in supporting workforce mobility and delivering long service leave entitlements across these sectors.
About the Role
Based at QLeave's Northgate Head Office, this is a key Executive Leadership Team role responsible for leading finance, investment governance and procurement functions.
Overseeing a substantial externally managed investment portfolio, you will ensure strong financial stewardship, effective governance and alignment with legislative and policy frameworks. Partnering closely with the Board and executive, you will provide trusted financial and commercial advice that supports confident decision-making and long-term organisational sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of finance, investment governance and procurement functions.
Provide strategic financial and commercial advice to the Executive and Board.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and statutory compliance.
Strengthen investment oversight and manage external fund manager relationships.
Ensure effective governance of a large-scale investment portfolio.
Build team capability and drive continuous improvement across the function.
Role Requirements
You are a senior finance leader with experience in complex or regulated environments, ideally within government or a statutory authority. You bring strong knowledge of public sector financial frameworks, governance and accountability, and are confident engaging with Boards, executives and external stakeholders.
You combine strategic insight with sound judgement and are recognised for your ability to build trust, provide clear advice and lead teams through ongoing improvement and change.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting or a related discipline are required. CA/CPA qualifications are highly regarded.
