Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

Overview:

The Director, Finance Systems & Process Transformation plays a critical role within the Global TV Distribution Finance team reporting to the VP, Global TV Distribution Finance. This position requires a unique combination of deep finance process expertise and a strong aptitude for systems strategy, transformation, and business process optimization.

This leader will ensure smooth day-to-day operation of all TVD Finance systems while shaping and executing a forward-looking systems roadmap that supports the business's evolving needs. The ideal candidate will be a strategic problem solver with strong collaboration, communication, and project execution skills - able to lead cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency, visibility, and user experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the daily operations of all TVD Finance systems, including DealSite (Salesforce opportunity and budget management) and other integrated platforms

Develop the strategic vision and roadmap for finance systems transformation in conjunction with VP, Finance —driving long-term enhancements aligned with business goals

Drive continuous business improvement across Finance teams. Identify areas for improvement (both manual and systematic) and recommend solutions

Serve as the primary business owner for the DealSite Budget module; lead all future enhancements to ensure consistency, scalability, and integration with broader platform updates

Act as a change agent and partner to senior Sales leadership—presenting system capabilities, managing stakeholder feedback, and driving adoption through effective change management

Become a reporting/ analytics expert by utilizing BI tools (e.g. CRM Analytics, Tableau, MicroStrategy) to design and build custom reporting solutions for all DealSite users

Lead the end-to-end system development lifecycle for future budget updates —from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, training, and deployment

Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, IT, Strategy, and other teams to align technology initiatives with business needs

Train and onboard new users to DealSite Budget module and other finance systems as needed.

Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives that improve operational workflows and drive finance transformation

Oversee a team of two managers, providing mentorship, direction, and performance development

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems or related field

Minimum 8 years of experience in finance systems, FP&A, or forecasting—preferably within the media or entertainment industry

Proficiency with data visualization/reporting tools such as Tableau, CRM Analytics, or MicroStrategy

Desired Characteristics:

Proven track record of process improvement and/or utilizing new technology to drive efficiencies

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across diverse stakeholders

Familiarity with the Salesforce platform and budget/forecasting processes

Strong communication and presentation skills (including experience with PowerPoint)

Experience leading and developing high-performing teams

Flexibility to occasionally support global users in non-traditional business hours (e.g., Asia, Europe)

Strong understanding of the TVD business model and revenue budgeting/pacing process, specifically how master data & various revenue inputs flow between source systems

Experience with complex system integrations, especially involving master data and cross-platform workflows

Proficiency in Salesforce tools and features including Data Cloud, Tableau, and CRM Analytics

Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP) a plus

Excellent problem-solving, technical, and analytical thinking skills

Passion for systems innovation and finance transformation

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
