At Robert Half, we are searching for an exceptional Senior Director of Accounting who possesses a blend of both public accounting and industry experience, having worked with medium-sized to large companies. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience functioning in accounting management and strategic leadership, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of general ledger functionalities, financial reporting, and innovative business processes. Core Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the company's accounting practices, inclusive of running accounting departments, budget formulation, preparation of financial reports, and overseeing tax and auditing activities.
• Devise and steer execution of financial strategy, planning and projections in collaboration with the company’s President, Vice President, and CFO.
• Supervise investment and cash management strategies.
• Evaluate financial reports and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Drive and enact innovative business processes, setting guidelines for account reconciliation, etc.
• Develop, lead, and coach a high-performing team, consistently evaluating team operations and processes to boost efficiency.
• Lead new business initiatives from inception, ensuring sound financial structure and realistic monetary projections.
• Take an active role in constructing corporate policies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree or CPA highly preferred).
• Public Accounting experience, along with industry experience is a must
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an accounting leadership role leading large teams.
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance and measures of performance.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with the general ledger functions and the month/quarter/year-end close process
• High-level organizational and leadership skills, with a capacity to switch rapidly between strategic and detailed levels.
• Proven experience in managing new projects and new business ventures.
• Excellent interpersonal and team management skills.
