Job Description
The Director of Marketing is the central cross-functional hub responsible for the strategic integration of brand storytelling, product innovation, and commercial execution. In this high-impact role, you will lead the "What" and the "Why" behind our products, ensuring that every SKU—from heritage favorites to new innovations—and story is supported by a consistent brand narrative across all touchpoints.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing and partnering with creative, product, and the EVP of Brand, you are responsible for driving the creative storytelling and brand moments that excite our customers and deepen their connection to the Chemical Guys brand. You will harmonize our message across the entire consumer journey, from high-energy brand campaigns to the intricate details of the digital shelf. We are looking for a leader with exceptional creative instincts who can rally the organization, influence cross-functional partners, and elevate the car care experience into a world-class brand narrative.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand & GTM Strategy
Omni-Channel GTM Leadership: Develop and oversee comprehensive GTM strategies for all new launches, tailoring messaging, promotional structures, and activation tactics for DTC, retail, and marketplaces.
Brand Calendar Management: Define and lead the overarching brand marketing strategy and master calendar, ensuring alignment between product launches, seasonal moments, and key retail features.
Campaign Oversight: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of brand campaigns, from briefing and creative alignment to final in-market execution.
Cultural Relevance: Stay plugged into market and community trends to identify emerging themes and collaborations that bring the brand to life in unexpected ways.
2. Content Strategy & Optimization
YouTube & Long-Form Direction: Develop high-impact content topics & manage the calendar for YouTube based on SEO research, customer demand, and product strategy.
Channel-Specific Excellence: Maintain a heavy focus on Amazon content optimization, including SBV, Carousel images, Thumbnails, and Brand Store updates.
SEO & Discoverability: Partner with 3P agencies to ensure SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies are integrated into all content.
Digital Asset Management: Oversee the content library (DAM), Product QR Code Portfolio, and own the PIM (Product Information Management) workflows to ensure syndicated content is accurate across all marketplaces.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Partnerships
Organizational Hub: Act as the primary liaison between Creative, Brand, Product, Marketplaces, DTC & Sales to rally the organization around integrated seasonal pushes.
Sales & Trade Support: Partner with Sales and Trade Marketing teams to deliver impactful launch toolkits and ensure storytelling consistency at the retail level.
Agency Management: Oversee and manage external partners for PR, brand influencers, and creator relationships.
Product & Video Collaboration: Work with R&D and Video teams to ensure technical accuracy and brand-voice alignment in all educational and promotional assets.
4. Team Development & Performance
Mentorship: Manage and mentor the Product Marketing and Content Strategy teams, providing the strategic guidance necessary to foster high performance.
Consistency Oversight: Ensure creative and messaging consistency for both new and existing product lines across every customer touchpoint.
Outcome Tracking: Monitor how brand initiatives connect with culture and drive tangible business outcomes.

Experience
7-10 year of marketing experience with CPG, Beauty or other related consumer categories
Creative & inspirational storyteller, always bringing new ideas to the table
Passionate about consumer behavior, trends, and culture –- you are innately curious & resourceful.
