We provide housing, counseling, life skills, education, and spiritual support in a safe, faith-based environment. Our goal is to empower survivors to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Position Overview

The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of SafeHope Home’s programs, staff, and facilities. This role ensures the smooth, efficient, and trauma-informed delivery of services in alignment with our strategic goals, policies, and mission. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, highly organized leader with experience in nonprofit management, program delivery, and survivor-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Management

Oversee day-to-day operations of residential, outreach, and community engagement programs Ensure compliance with all MCCSS licensing and regulatory standards

Supervise and support frontline staff, volunteers, and program coordinators Maintain program documentation, procedures, and risk management protocols Coordinate maintenance, safety, and security of SafeHope Home facilities

2. Staff Leadership & Human Resources

Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations Foster a supportive, trauma-informed, and collaborative work culture Address staffing challenges, mediate team issues, and implement corrective action as needed

Ensure proper training and supervision of all program and support staff

3. Financial Oversight

Collaborate with the Executive Director and Finance Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation

Monitor operational expenses, approve purchases, and maintain vendor relationships

Ensure responsible and transparent use of donor funds and grant allocations

4. Program Development & Evaluation

Support the design and evaluation of programs based on evidence-based and survivor- informed practices

Track key performance indicators (KPIs), outcome measurements, and service delivery standards

Assist in preparing reports for funders, board members, and stakeholders

5. Community & Partner Relations

Build and maintain partnerships with external service providers, law enforcement, and community agencies

Represent SafeHope Home at local events, coalitions, and inter-agency meetings as needed

Collaborate on initiatives that strengthen referrals, wraparound supports, and community engagement

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership or operations role within a social services or nonprofit organization

Experience working with survivors of trauma, human trafficking, or violence against women

Strong understanding of trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and culturally sensitive care

Proven ability to lead teams, manage crises, and coordinate multidisciplinary services

Excellent organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and cloud-based documentation tools

Must have a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and a clean Vulnerable Sector Check

Working Conditions

This role requires in-person presence at our confidential residential and office sites.

Some evening or weekend work may be required during emergencies or events.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a Christian, faith-based environment.
