Job Description
The primary objective of the HR Center of Excellence (CoE) is to empower various companies for which Bhavin Turakhia is the CEO/Founder/Investor to achieve high levels of process maturity, standardization, and excellence. This objective spans across all the functions that would impact HR at these organizations (e.g. Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Management, Talent Engagement, Operations, IT, Real Estate & Workspace, Culture, Learning & Development, and so on)
As the head of the HR Center for Excellence (CoE) in the CEO’s Office, you will typically spend 75% of your time on Process Excellence and the remaining 25% on Strategy and Planning. The CEO’s office and various CoEs, including this one, are primarily responsible for Process Excellence, KPI management, Internal Consulting & Advocacy. As such, this CoE is not specifically responsible for the day-to-day operations - which are managed by relevant business or functional leaders across various companies. However, you may be called upon to roll-up your sleeves from time to time to assist with execution of specific initiatives.

HR groups across group companies are able to incorporate the output from this CoE to significantly improve their operational metrics & outcomes

Responsibilities
Delivering frameworks for KPI Management
Identifying key input & output measures for various people functions
Building measurement instruments, playbooks, benchmarks, and best practices
Building POVs on how to improve and drive KPI improvements
Building a comprehensive library of process documentation
Identifying & inventorying a comprehensive set of people processes
Learning and researching about best-in-class practices
Building & publishing detailed process documentation and playbooks
Standardizing playbooks across various functions & companies
Observing implementations and suggesting process improvements as needed
Evolving processes and maintaining the library over time
Building rigorous training programs
Conceptualize training outcomes and agenda
Creating training curricula, materials, and coursework
Imparting training as an SME to relevant business and organizational units
Providing remedial outcomes and follow-on training
Modifying training programs and keeping them current
Consulting various units on People related initiatives
Providing internal consulting services on a variety of problem statements
Acting as an SME and providing industry perspectives and counsel
Assisting with implementation of various processes and best practices
Providing leadership for specific projects mandated by the CEO’s office that require cross functional insights / expertise / coordination
Providing guidance to a group of Program Managers attached to the CEO’s office working closely on implementation and operations across companies
Building and refining People strategy
Assisting the CEO’s office and various business & organizational units with annual and quarterly planning
Producing POVs - White Papers, Case Studies, Best Practices, Benchmarks, Playbooks, Industry Trends, Hypotheses, Position Papers, etc
Performing Research & discovery for future set of projects / initiatives
Managing a team of practitioners
Building & mentoring a team of SMEs & process experts
Evaluating and recommending technology solutions
Identifying, evaluating, recommending, and building business cases for HR-Tech solutions (such as automation, integrations, AI, HRIS, etc)
Experience and Education
15+ years total experience with meaningful stints at top-tier consulting firms (Mercer, Aon, Bain, Accenture, Deloitte, etc) and also preferably in an HR line function as a practitioner
Deep functional & consulting experience in at least 3 out of the following core People Success / HR disciplines (Operations, Talent Strategy, Technology, Talent Acquisition, Analytics, Culture, Performance Management, Learning, Comp & Ben, etc)
Undergraduate Degree in Engineering + Graduate Business Degree (MBA or equivalent)
Skills, Attitudes, and Competencies
Clear thought process & ability to communicate very competently verbally and in writing
Analytical orientation with ability to use data to answer questions and solve problems
Strong technical aptitude to evaluate and size IT systems, automation, AI, and HR-Tech
Capable of meta-thinking and operating at various levels of abstraction (for example to create a generic process applicable to various companies / situations)

Hands-on and capable of doing the work vs. just managing others
