We are seeking a visionary Director of Room Revenue and Travel Agent Sales to lead the charge in optimizing our room revenue and nurturing global travel trade partnerships, ensuring The Raj Palace remains the preferred address for distinguished guests worldwide.
Role Overview
The Director of Room Revenue & Travel Agent Sales will be responsible for driving the commercial success of the rooms division while strategically managing partnerships with domestic and international travel agents, luxury consortia, wholesalers, OTA agencies, and corporate buyers.
This role demands a balance of analytical prowess, market insight, and global relationship-building to maximize revenue and secure The Raj Palace’s position in the competitive luxury hospitality landscape.
Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Management & Optimization
• Develop and execute pricing and inventory strategies to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
• Analyze market demand, booking patterns, and competitor performance to drive dynamic rate adjustments.
• Forecast room revenue and prepare comprehensive business reports.
• Optimize revenue mix between direct, OTA, FIT, GDS, and Wholesale channels.
Travel Trade & Agency Sales
• Lead travel agent sales efforts targeting luxury consortia (Virtuoso, Signature, etc.), wholesale partners, GDS networks, OTAs, and key global leisure agencies.
• Build, manage, and nurture relationships with domestic and international travel trade partners.
• Participate in global travel fairs, roadshows, and luxury market events to strengthen brand visibility and bookings.
• Create tailor-made offers, packages, and experiences for travel agents and their elite clientele.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Lead, coach, and inspire a sales and revenue team to deliver on KPIs.
• Work closely with the Marketing, Reservations, and Front Office teams to align revenue and guest experience strategies.
• Oversee sales contracts, RFP responses, and agency agreements ensuring maximum profitability and exposure.
Client & Guest Relations
• Represent The Raj Palace at key industry events, familiarization trips, and agent site visits.
• Design loyalty and engagement programs for travel agent partners.
• Ensure an elegant and seamless experience for all bookings from travel trade partners.
Ideal Profile
• 10+ years of progressive experience in luxury hotel revenue management and global travel trade sales.
• Deep knowledge of FIT, Wholesale, OTA, and GDS channels, with established agency relationships.
• Strategic thinker with analytical skills and strong business acumen.
• Leadership and people management skills to guide a multi-disciplinary team.
• Sophisticated communicator and negotiator with global exposure.
