Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase in Consumer Banking Technology, on the Firmwide Core Deposits Platform product organization, you will lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives.
As an experienced technology leader, first and foremost, we seek for people who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices, exhibiting expertise in various technology delivery concepts including Domain Driven Design, API oriented development, microservice, event-based architectures, and automation also, mentor and manage teams in building cloud-based solutions leveraging modern patterns with implementations in both our private and public cloud platforms.
Job Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for managing globally dispersed agile software delivery teams and partnering with the Product Owners.
Responsible for all aspects of technology delivery.
Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains leveraging modern technologies including cloud backed APIs and microservices utilizing distributed database technologies.
Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
Strong risk management mindset relative to managing risk and delivering technical tasks related to the solution e.g., breaks, defects, patches & upgrades
Strong talent assessment and talent management background and champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
Demonstrated experience with developing and managing large scale platforms with strong understanding of complex distributed systems running on hybrid infrastructure (on premises, private and private cloud environments) and deep expertise with enterprise design patterns and industry best practices with experience using modern technology (e.g., Java, Cassandra, Kafka) and design patterns (e.g., microservices, APIs).
Experience with building, leading and mentoring technology teams and next level leaders within the organization. Ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment leading/working with geographically distributed teams.
Experience with implementing industry standard cybersecurity & technology controls.
Excellent communication skills and ability to present to and communicate effectively with key stakeholders across product, technology, data and design and ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals and strong organizational and management skills.

Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability
Extensive practical cloud native experience
