Director of Software Engineering

This role is within the Finance Risk and Data Controls Technology which is focused on building applications which support the daily needs of risk managers and financial professionals. FRDC organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management. Job Responsibilities:
The team is responsible for providing the data backbone to the Finance organization storing all finance information and calculating aggregations and supporting internal management reporting and external regulatory reporting.
The team leverages modern technology stack to provide data management tools, calculators and financial reporting engines.
The team is looking for proactive and hands-on technologist and thought leader who can solve critical business problems with innovative technology solutions and have responsibility to implement multiple core components of this architecture. JPMC is launching a multi-year initiative to invest in the industrialization of this process and seeking highly qualified candidates to drive this change.
You are expected to be responsible for delivering Capital's critical regulatory technology agenda Globally.
Lead the Finance program to ensure compliance with upcoming changes to Basel standards, including the implementation of FRTB (Fundamental Review of the Trading Book).
Partner with the risk, treasury and finance departments to develop a roadmap, ensure agreement around decisions and tollgates, manage implementation, and resolve issues and constraints. Work closely with engineering teams to transform the capital reporting framework to comply with regulator policy.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
15+ years of experience in delivering large, cross-functional finance or regulatory initiatives
Experience in driving large scale
The ability to influence across the organization to drive progress
Stellar communication skills and executive presence, including the ability to translate complex rules into business impact
Exposure to Data Blueprints and Web Microservices on AWS.
Exposure to Spark. Experience Managing large regional teams including their career and growth.
